Uttarakhand and Goa CM: Pushkar Singh Dhami, who returned the BJP to power in Uttarakhand for the second time in a row, will be the head of the next government in the state. At the same time, talking about Goa, here Pramod Sawant has been elected as the Chief Minister for the second time. Putting an end to all the speculations, the BJP on Monday announced the new CMs of both these states. Dhami will take oath as the 11th CM of the state on Wednesday. In Uttarakhand, the newly elected MLAs of BJP met at the party office in Dehradun, after which this announcement was made. Dhami was elected as the next Chief Minister in the BJP Legislature Party meeting held in the presence of observer and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and co-supervisor and Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi.

Dhami won hearts in 6 months tenure: Singh
Rajnath Singh said that during his tenure of only six months, Dhami left his mark on the hearts of the people, which resulted in victory for the party. In the recently concluded assembly elections, the BJP has won 47 out of 70 seats and is going to form the government for the second time in a row with more than two-thirds majority. After the announcement of his name, Dhami said that he would work for the progress of the state under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and would make Uttarakhand the best state in the country.

Pramod Sawant got another chance in Goa
Talking about Goa, here also Pramod Sawant has been elected as the Chief Minister for the second time. The BJP announced this on Monday. Here the ruling party has got the support of Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party and three independent MLAs, with whose help the BJP is going to form its government. Sawant’s name was approved for the chief minister’s post at a meeting of newly elected BJP MLAs and senior party leaders in Panaji in the evening. The meeting took place in the presence of BJP’s central observers Narendra Singh Tomar and L Murugan, assembly election in-charge Devendra Fadnavis and party’s state unit president Sadanand Shet Tanavade.
In the elections held on February 14, the BJP won 20 seats in the 40-member assembly and was left behind by a majority. The BJP has got the support of two MJP MLAs and three independent MLAs.
