US President Election 2020: There is very little time left in voting for the US President. Before that, more than 1100 prominent people of the Asian-American community have supported Democratic candidates Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. This includes Indian American Elected Officers, Artists, Businesses and Community Leaders. The role of Indian-Americans will also be important in this election. According to a survey, nearly three-quarters of Indian-American Democratic candidates are planning to vote for Joe Biden in the election of the US President. He believes that Donald Trump as President has taken the country in the wrong direction. Donald Trump is a candidate from the Republican Party.
Second Largest Migrant Group in America
The number of Indians living in America makes them the second largest migrant group there. However, their number is less than 1 percent of the nominated voters. Despite this, both the parties are attracting them to their side so that they can get an edge in the close competition. So, according to a survey conducted last month by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, John Hopkins-SAIS and the University of Penicillia, Biden’s pelvis looks heavy. According to the survey, 72 percent of registered Indian American voters have supported Biden and 22 percent have spoken about Trump, while the rest have decided not to select or vote for others.
Hindu Community Angry Over Kamala Harris’s Portrayal Of Maa Durga And Trump As Mahishasura
Biden’s support increased with Kamala Harris’ candidacy
So far Indian society has been supporting the Democratic Party but due to the strong relationship between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump, this time the expectations were raised that Trump would get more support from Indians. However, the survey showed opposite results. Kamala Harris’s candidacy has increased support for Biden. She is the first black woman and Asian American to get a presidential ticket from the major party in America.
From the perspective of voters, the relationship between India and America is now in the lowest priority and the economy and health are the highest. 49 percent of respondents say that they are excited about Biden’s candidacy because of Kamala Harris’ candidacy, while 15 percent are not very enthusiastic about it. Harris’s mother is of Indian origin and her father, both of Jamaican origin, immigrated to the US to study.
