Huge investment in IT sector
Big businessmen working in the IT sector also agree with this statement of the officers. Because in the last five years, Uttar Pradesh is the only major state in the country, which has received huge investment in the IT sector. Under the new electronics manufacturing policy of UP, the land of big multinational companies has been taken to set up the electronics manufacturing sector and data center in Noida. Under the Electronics Manufacturing Policy-2017 of the State Government, the target of investment of Rs 20,000 crore has been achieved in three years by the investments made by about 30 investors in the state.
A target has been set to provide employment to four lakh people.
More than three lakh jobs were created from this investment. After this, under the new UP Electronics Manufacturing Policy-2020 brought in August 2020, a target of investing Rs 40,000 crore and providing employment to four lakh people has been set in the next five years. Under this new policy, multinational companies like Microsoft, MAQ, Adani Group, Hiranandani Group, Netmagic Services, STT Private Limited and Agarwal Associate Limited have taken the initiative to set up data centers in Noida. All this has been possible due to the IT policy brought by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to promote investment in the IT sector and the officers were given the responsibility to remove the problems of the businessmen who want to invest in this sector. The government’s new Electronics Manufacturing Policy-2020 has promised to give several concessions to the investors setting up the semiconductor industry in the state.

Central government approved the PLI scheme
These days, without an electronic device, any industry, be it gadgets, home appliances, computers, mobile handsets, automobiles or anything else, cannot be developed. It is used everywhere in airplane operations, drones, metro, space and defense equipment. Only then we are able to add new facilities to the lives of people, only then they are able to use Artificial Intelligence. Semi conductors are colloquially called integrated circuits or ICs. Due to the Corona crisis, the semi-conductor manufacturing business was in trouble and its imports from China reduced significantly. Due to this, the automobile and electronics manufacturing industry was badly affected. Taking cognizance of this, the Central Government approved the PLI scheme. Which will also benefit Uttar Pradesh.
Large number of jobs will be created in this sector
The reason for this is Uttar Pradesh’s mastery in the field of IT and software. UP has a set-up of world’s renowned IT companies. Now along with these big companies, other big companies of the country will take the initiative to invest in the hardware sector. America, South Korea, China, Taiwan, Japan have taken this industry in their hands, the companies of these countries will invest in the semiconductor industry along with the major companies of the country. IT department officials say that till a few years ago mobile hand sets were not made in UP, but now big multinational companies are making mobile hand sets, laptops, TVs and other electronic equipment in UP. Mobile handsets made in UP are making their mark in the world. A company like Samsung has set up a display manufacturing factory in Noida. In such a situation, the initiative taken by the central government, big investors will invest for the establishment of semi-conductor industry in UP. Due to which UP will also be able to achieve a new position in the field of hardware, and a large number of jobs will be created in this sector.
