“We go door-to-door campaigning in small groups and try to meet as many women voters as possible in a day. On meeting women voters, I tell them about the various welfare schemes of the BJP government.” These groups usually campaign in Muslim-majority areas, he said.
When asked about the reasons for joining BJP, Nida said, “I have realized that all political parties, be it Samajwadi Party, Congress or Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), all Muslims are given only because of vote bank. use as. They take our votes to come to power, and then forget us for the next five years. This is the reason why Muslim community is one of the least developed communities in our society. However, in BJP it is not there, everyone is treated as equal here.”
Asked whether BJP has not given ticket to any Muslim candidate in Uttar Pradesh, he said, “I believe ticket distribution is decided in BJP not just on the basis of vote bank but on merit basis.” . I am sure the party will find suitable candidates from the Muslim community, who will get tickets in future elections.” Nida, who studied law, came into limelight in 2017 after she filed a complaint of domestic violence and dowry against her husband and his family members.
She had alleged that her husband, coming from an influential family in Bareilly, gave her triple talaq. The trial of these cases is going on in the local courts of Bareilly. “The persecution I faced right after my marriage gave me the strength to fight for other Muslim women who are victims of triple talaq and dowry at one go,” said Nida. He also said that the anti-triple talaq law passed by the Center and the illegal conversion law of the Uttar Pradesh government are “boons for Muslim women and society”.
She said, “I want the women of the Muslim community to understand the good works of the BJP government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I am sure the social condition of Muslims will improve if BJP comes to power again in Uttar Pradesh.
