UP Election Result 2022: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has secured a majority in the early trends of counting of votes for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. In the trends so far, BJP is moving towards a big lead while Samajwadi Party (SP) seems to be lagging behind. According to the initial trends received in 400 seats out of 403 assembly seats, BJP is leading in 266 seats. At the same time, Samajwadi Party is leading in 122 seats.
At the same time, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Congress are leading in 3 seats while Jansatta Dal is leading in one seat. At the same time, according to the official data of the Election Commission, initial trends have been received in 391 out of 403 seats in the state, out of which BJP is leading on 250, SP on 101 and Rashtriya Lok Dal, an ally of SP.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is leading from Gorakhpur and Akhilesh Yadav is leading from Karhal. At the same time, Swami Prasad Maurya is trailing from Fazil Nagar. Apart from this, Shrikant Sharma is leading from Mathura (BJP) and Om Prakash Rajbhar is trailing from Zahoorabad seat of Ghazipur district. Counting of votes for 403 seats in the state began at 8 am on Thursday, after a nearly two-month-long exercise in the politically crucial Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. State Chief Electoral Officer Ajay Kumar Shukla said that the counting of votes for the state assembly elections started at 8 am in all 75 districts of the state. First of all, the postal ballots are being counted. After that the votes cast in the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) will be counted.
Voting for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections was conducted in seven phases from February 10 to March 7. The results of the election will decide whether the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) creates a record by forming its government for the second time in a row, or the Samajwadi Party (SP) returns to power after five years, or the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). Or any other party or coalition reaches the top of power, surprising everyone.
