Uttar Pradesh Elecetion 2022: In Uttar Pradesh, in the first phase, in which everyone is eyeing, Mathura-Vrindavan is being seen as the most prominent seat. Shrikant Sharma, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Mathura Constituency, reached the assembly after winning the 2017 assembly elections with a record number of votes and was made the state government’s energy minister.
Shrikant Sharma had the blessings of Delhi and was also given important responsibility as the spokesperson of the state government. As Energy Minister, everyone talks about positive changes in the power supply system in the state. However, there is talk of electricity being expensive in the state, to which Energy Minister Shrikant Sharma replies that the previous government had made energy contracts at expensive rates, despite this, we were able to give full power to the public at low prices. are. The betterment of power supply in the state is also a big election issue for BJP, but the biggest question is, what is the atmosphere this time in the assembly of the Energy Minister, who won with record votes last time. I spent two days in Mathura-Vrindavan to understand this.
Visiting Banke Bihari ji in Vrindavan is a mandatory condition for every Hindu on going to Mathura. Banke Bihari ji’s darshan was necessary for us too. The original was the philosophy of Banke Bihari ji, but he had to try to understand the electoral movement of Mathura-Vrindavan. If you go to Vrindavan to see Banke Bihari ji wearing glasses, then someone entering the streets for the temple will tell you that, take off the glasses and keep them in your pocket, otherwise the monkey will run away.
As usual, this time also I got this advice as soon as I entered the streets of Banke Bihari ji’s temple. I took out my glasses and put them in my pocket. The lanes of the temple seemed wider than a few years ago. There was more space. The cleanliness system also looked much better than before. After darshan, Ghanshyam Goswami, the servitor of Banke Bihari temple, told that, the electric wires swinging in the streets of Mathura-Vrindavan have almost disappeared and due to this, the place for monkeys to sit in the streets through the wires has reduced and now the monkeys That’s why they are less visible. Then I came to mind that I had kept the glasses in my pocket, but the monkeys were rarely seen all the way.

This major change has taken place due to the underground electricity wires in the energy minister’s assembly constituency, which got my attention when told by the servant of the temple, but Yogi-Modi’s influence was more visible in Ghanshyam Goswami’s words. He told that a lot of work has been done in Mathura-Vrindavan. The minister also got a lot of work done, the main roads of Mathura-Vrindavan are wider and less encroached than before.
The shining tiles and arranged shops in the streets of Banke Bihari ji attest to the point of the servant of the temple, but some resentment was also seen among the people of Mathura-Vrindavan about the behavior of the minister. However, the work done by the minister and the hope of Mathura becoming like Ayodhya, Kashi under the Modi-Yogi regime disappears a bit.
When I met Energy Minister Shrikant Sharma, I asked him about the displeasure of the people at the local level and said that the people of Mathura-Vrindavan are saying that, we want MLAs, the minister is a big leader. On this Shrikant Sharma showed a booklet named ‘Mero Braj’ and said that, this is my report card. Till date no one has presented the report card of his works to the public. From the purification of Yamuna to the beautification-development of Mathura-Vrindavan, many works were written in the Mero Braj report card. Shrikant Sharma said that every Saturday-Sunday I stayed in my assembly constituency for the whole five years.
The work mentioned in the booklet was matching with the words of Ghanshyam Goswami, the servitor of the Banke Bihar temple. When we talked to people in the temple and its surrounding areas, everyone said that work has happened. Contradictory things were also heard about the behavior, but everyone was saying one thing that a lot has happened in Mathura-Vrindavan under Modi-Yogi’s rule and a lot is expected to happen. Many people were unhappy with the behavior of the police-administration. BJP candidate Shrikant Sharma, who contested for the first time in 2017, got 1,43,361 votes and Congress veteran Pradeep Mathur could get only 42,200 votes.

Will Shrikant Sharma be able to maintain the margin of victory this time in the Brahmin-dominated assembly, the answer was given to me by Suresh Choudhary, a young Jat I met in Balajipuram, Mathura. Suresh Chaudhary said that BSP candidate SK Sharma has become beneficial for Shrikant Sharma because, till now, some Brahmin voters angry with him were seen voting for Pradeep Mathur. Now due to SK Sharma’s option, people angry with the minister can go towards SK Sharma. Most of the Brahmin voters are seen standing with the BJP candidate. Suresh Choudhary said that Balajipuram has the largest number of ex-servicemen Jat voters and when I asked people in their homes, most of them said that what Modi has done for the soldiers has not happened earlier.
Such support for a BJP candidate in a Jat-dominated colony was shocking to me. Bhagwan Singh Jat, a former soldier, said that we are people who worship Chaudhary Charan Singh, but now our leader is Narendra Modi. Modi government has done a lot for farmers and jawans and Yogi Adityanath has ended hooliganism. A Jat girl from Balajipuram Colony said that the government has ended hooliganism. Government is with us. I had already found the answer to the question of what would be the election result of Muthara-Vrindavan. You probably got it too.
