Today, on Wednesday, 22 December, for the fifth day, the employees continued the strike by taking an aggressive role.
The indefinite strike of both the University Employees Organization and Godwana University Officers and Employees Organization working in Gondwana University has started from 18th December. The strike was going on for the fifth day today as no positive decision was taken by the government.
At this time, the secretary of the organization, Satish Padole, while addressing the employees, said that till there is no written assurance from the government, there is talk of continuing this strike. Various student organizations of the university have also supported the strike of the employees. The work of the university has been affected due to the strike.
On the fifth day of the Kambanda movement, Secretary Prof. Vivek Gorlavar, Prof. Nandaji Satpute, Prof. Pramod Bodane and District Vice President of Maharashtra State Employees Organization L. H. Pathan, Secretary Kishor Sontakke visited the site of agitation and assured to make efforts on behalf of the state federation to fulfill the demands of the employees.
Agitators started social undertakings
Social undertakings are being run during the movement. As a result, on the fifth day of the agitation, under the concept of employee organization member Suchita More, all the women employees prepared envelopes from newspaper waste. The said envelopes were given for the work of distributing medicines to the patients in the government hospital.
