The Indian Air Force (IAF) has ordered a team of three services to investigate the incident with the country’s first Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat. Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh gave this information in Parliament today. He told that the investigation team has reached Wellington only yesterday (December 8). This investigation is being headed by Air Marshal Manvendra Singh. On the death of Chief of Defense Staff Rawat, his wife and other army personnel, two minutes silence was observed in both the houses of Parliament and proceedings started after that. The Union Defense Minister said in Parliament that the last rites of the soldiers who died in the accident would be performed with full military honours.

Group Captain injured in accident admitted to Military Hospital
The Union Defense Minister said that 11 other officers and soldiers aboard the helicopter, including Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat, were killed in the traumatic military helicopter crash in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh informed in the Lok Sabha that Group Captain Varun Singh, who was injured in the accident, has been kept on life support at the Military Hospital in Wellington and every effort is being made to save his life.
Opposition adjourns its protest for today
Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge had said this morning that the ongoing protest against the suspension of 12 Rajya Sabha MPs in honor of CDS Bipin Rawat and other Army personnel is being adjourned today and they will attend Parliament during the Union Defense Minister’s address. Will also be present.
