Two folks died Saturday evening after an individual driving the improper manner down Route 395 south in Webster tragically collided with one other automobile head on, in line with Massachusetts State Police.
At about 10:17 p.m. Saturday evening, preliminary proof exhibits a GMC Sierra pickup truck was driving north within the left lane of the southbound facet of Route 395, State Police stated in a launch Sunday.
A 2012 Honda CRV sport utility car was headed down the identical lane.
Around mile marker 2.6 close to Exit 3, police stated, the truck hit the Honda head on within the southbound left lane.
Both the driving force of the Sierra, Jordan Pimentel, 31, of Auburn, Massachusetts, and the Honda, Kayla Morey, 35, of Dayville, Connecticut, sustained deadly accidents and pronounced lifeless on the scene.
The autos had been towed and secured for additional investigation, the discharge states. Both lanes of Route 395 across the scene had been closed for about 5 hours throughout the rescue response and crash reconstructions.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, police stated. Investigators haven’t but said why Pimentel might have been driving the improper manner or the place he began.
The investigation is being performed by State Police from Sturbridge Barracks, Collision Analysis and Reconstruction, Crime Scene Services and Detective Unit for Worcester County, the discharge stated. Webster Fire Department and Webster Police Department assisted on the scene Saturday.
