Two Lawrence ladies, together with a metropolis councilor-elect, are going through fraudulent voting fees in Essex County amid an ongoing investigation.
District Attorney Paul Tucker late Wednesday introduced that Lawrence District A Councilor-Elect Fidelina Santiago and a second defendant, Jennifer Lopez, had been indicted by a grand jury on fees that Tucker’s workplace mentioned are “in connection with the November 2023 Lawrence election.”
While particulars weren’t launched, the prosecutor’s workplace mentioned that Santiago and Lopez had been indicted on 4 counts every of unlawful voting or try and vote, conspiracy to vote or try and vote illegally, illegal interference with voter, and obstruction of voting.
