Tunnel blast in Chhattisgarh’s Kanker district; One jawan injured, 15 policemen injured in bus-truck collision
Raipur: Naxalites detonated a landmine in Naxal-affected Kanker district of Chhattisgarh, injuring a Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) jawan in this incident. The police informed about this.
A police officer of Kanker district said that the Naxalites detonated a landmine in the forest of Patkalbeda village under Rawghat police station area of the district, injuring a soldier of the 33rd battalion of SSB in this incident.
According to the information, when the patrols were laying siege of the forest near their camp located in Kosronda village, 150 km from Raipur, the Maoists detonated an IED, in which an Army jawan was injured. The injured jawan has been admitted to the hospital.
It is to be noted that the 33rd and 28th Battalions of SSB have been deployed since 2016 in Rawghat and Tadoki areas of the district especially for the security of the under-construction Dallirajhara (Balod district) Rawghat (Kanker) railway project.

Significantly, the second accident has happened in Chhattisgarh itself. In which at least 13 policemen have been reported injured. According to reports, 13 policemen were injured in a collision between a bus and a truck in Janjgir-Champa district on Friday. A police official said that the bus was carrying policemen who were deployed on security duty of the chief minister to tour the district.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Abhishek Pallav said that the accident took place near Kan Sada bridge under Sori Narayan police station area at 7.45 am. However, the proposed visit of CM Bhupesh Baghel to Janjgir-Champa has been canceled due to bad weather.
