According to government sources, this investigation report of the Tri-Services Investigation Team has given important findings on the cause of the accident and also made several important safety recommendations for future helicopter operations for VIP flight.

Significantly, in this incident, General Bipin Rawat, India’s first Chief of Defense Staff, his wife and 12 other army personnel were martyred. At the same time, according to other sources, the report of the investigation team of the three armies was submitted to the government on December 31. It is being told that a detailed report has been prepared under the leadership of Air Marshal Manvendra Singh and two Brigadier rank officers of Army and Navy.
