Thousands of people travel in buses every day. At this time the havoc of the new variant Omicron of COVID has started. The number of corona infected is increasing in the daily tests. Despite this, wherever you look in the city, you will find people walking without masks.
Let us inform that the cases of COVID in the state have more than doubled in the last 3 days. After this, the state government has given guidelines to implement strict restrictions. Night lockdown has also started. There are instructions to close everything in the city after 9 pm, but even after this people have not started wearing masks.
Corona protocol is not being followed during the journey in buses as well as in other vehicles, due to which this wave can take a dangerous form. Thousands of people continue to move in the city from other states. In such a situation, the risk of infection has become the highest. At present, the attention of the district administration is not towards the buses. That is why there is no system of testing here.
That’s why test is necessary
The number of people going to and from the city in ST buses is in thousands every day. During the journey, most people do not use masks, sanitizers with social distancing, due to which there is a risk of spreading the infection. There is no arrangement for testing of passengers even at ST bus stand. If local officials are to be believed, the ST Mahamandal has not yet given instructions to make any arrangements for the diagnosis of the virus. For this reason, at present only the common instructions of the government are being followed.
2,103 people traveled in 17 buses
On Thursday, 17 buses were run by ST Division. Of these, 3 buses were operated from Ganeshpeth, Imamwada 2, Ghat Road 3, Umred 3, Saoner 2, Vardhamanagar 3 and Ramtek. These buses traveled 3269.4 km by making 58 ferries. During this, about 2,103 people were taken to their destination. Looking at the figures of the last one week, it is known that buses are being run in numbers from 15 to 18 only. In these, the number of passengers is also coming out around 2,000. When the number of buses will increase, the top officials are avoiding saying in this matter.
Mask mandatory for all
Passengers traveling in buses should use masks at all costs. No matter where you are in any part of the country, wear a mask with a distance. At present, ST Mahamandal has not sent any separate guidelines.
