Fire in Virar Hospital: While the cases of corona virus are increasing rapidly in the country, on the other hand, health services have severely deteriorated. 13 people have died due to fire in Vijay Vallabh COVID Hospital in Virar area adjoining Mumbai. According to the information, 17 corona patients were admitted in ICU in Vijay Vallabh Hospital located in Virar West, out of which 13 died. It is believed that a fire occurred due to a short circuit in the AC. It was told that the ICU of the hospital was on the second floor. The fire broke out around 3:30 am.

Some are in critical condition
The fire was so severe that 10 fire engines had to be installed. By the time the fire was controlled, 13 patients had died. A total of 17 patients were undergoing treatment in the ICU. The rest have been admitted to the nearest hospital, where only a few are in critical condition. It is feared that the figure of the dead may increase.

Due to some technical reasons, oxygen leakage occurred and the patients kept on ventilator beds succumbed due to lack of oxygen due to its supply being stopped. When this incident happened, about 150 patients were being treated in the hospital on oxygen bed and more than two dozen patients were being treated on ventilator bed.
