Gadchiroli, Class 10th and 12th board exams have started. Keeping in mind the corona epidemic, the education department has prepared examination centers in schools and colleges. But due to the ongoing strike of RAPani workers for the last 4 months, the travel of students along with travelers from inaccessible, rural areas continues. Keeping in mind the importance of the board’s examination, students from inaccessible areas are seen trying hard to reach the examination center. But in the absence of buses of Rapani, the path of examination of inaccessible and rural areas seems difficult.
In the starting academic session, from March 4 to April 7 for class 12th, class 10th examination is being held from March 15 to April 4. Schools were closed due to Corona outbreak. Due to which the writing practice of the students was fragmented. Due to which the Education Department has changed the time of 10th and 12th examination and has increased the time of 15 minutes more for 60 marks paper and 30 minutes more for 80 marks paper.
Due to which the paper for the afternoon session of 12th is going to be held till 6.30 pm. This period of examination is becoming a problem for the students of the inaccessible area. The inaccessible area of the district is covered with forests. The risk of violent swamps is high. In such a situation, after 6.30 pm due to the closure of the bus, the students of the inaccessible area have to make a lot of effort to reach the village.
No trace of human development mission bus
During the period of the employees’ strike, Rapani is running on some settled roads under Gadchiroli and Aheri depots of the district. Few busferia are running on the main road only. The service of Human Development Mission buses for school girls has been started by Rapani to travel to the school. This bus service was proving to be of great benefit to the students of rural areas. But due to the strike, no trace of this bus is visible since last 4 months. Due to which the students of rural areas who are appearing for the board exams are facing a lot of inconvenience.
terrifying forest path
Most of the area of the district is forested. Violent swapads are inhabited in this area. Many villages of Aheri, Etapalli, Mulchera, Bhamragad, Sironcha of these tehsils of Aheri sub-division come in the inaccessible, sensitive area. The examination center of the students here comes at a distance of 15 to 20 km. Due to the closure of buses, private vehicles are the only support for the students of this area. But due to the closure of buses, the travel of private vehicles has also become very expensive. Also, private vehicles are also not available during the evening in the inaccessible area. Due to which due to this examination to be held till 6.30 pm, the journey of the students of forest area is going to be frightening.
15 buses running from Aheri depot
In this context, when asked by Yuvraj Rathod, manager of Aheri depot, he told that, since last 4 months, the strike of RAPani workers has started. Due to this strike, 15 buses are running on the roads, relying on 11 contractual drivers under Aheri depot, about 30 bus ferries are taking place. The said buses are running on Aheri-Chandrapur-Gadchiroli route. The settlements have not yet been abandoned on the inaccessible and rural roads. Bus service is currently closed under the Human Development Mission. Buses will be started as soon as the personnel come into service. He gave such information.
