Pune: Pune city district administration has directed to reopen public places and tourist places for tourists from Monday, from January 24, saying that COVID-19 (Covid – 19) The situation is now under control, less people are being admitted to the hospital due to corona infection and there was public pressure too.
With this decision of the district administration, mainly trekkers will be able to visit various forts of the district. Many dams in the district and nearby tourist places and historical sites have also been opened. Collector Rajesh Deshmukh said that there was a demand of the people that the way hotels, cinema halls and other indoor activities are being done along with restrictions, on the same lines, tourist places and parks should also be opened. In view of this demand, orders have been issued by the district administration to remove Section 144 from public places, forts and historical places.

Tourist places were closed since January 11
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Saturday announced relaxations for tourist places, parks, open spaces and swimming pools after a meeting to review the COVID-19 situation in the district. On January 11, the Pune district administration had banned all tourist places in the district such as forts, dams, historical places and places like Lonavala, Lavasa and Sahara city.
Local administration did not get GR
Even though both the Minister and the Collector have ordered to open these tourist places, but all the gardens including Shaniwarwada, Lal Mahal, Vishrambagwada etc. tourist places of Pune city are still closed. In this matter, Ashok Ghorpade, Chief Horticulture Superintendent of Pune Municipal Corporation said that the GR regarding opening of tourist places and gardens has not yet been received by the Municipal Corporation, after receiving the GR, action will be taken according to the suggested instructions.
