In America, two twin brothers have been overshadowed by the ‘robbery prank’ of bank robbery. Both these brothers have been convicted for this crime and they will now have to do social service. The two brothers named Alan and Alex Stokes, because of the police, accused an innocent Uber driver and accused him of setting a gun on him. The court on Wednesday found Allen and Alex Stokes guilty of their crimes.
In October 2019, Alan and Alex, a California resident, called an Uber driver. During this time, the two brothers were wearing dark colored clothes and wearing masks. At the same time, a bag was filled with fake notes. Both brothers were also secretly making their own videos during this time. The Uber driver who arrived to pick up Alan and Alex was unaware of Prank. Considering both of them as thieves, he refused to seat them in the car.
The driver is understood to be the accomplice of the thieves and the police arrested
One person saw this incident and felt that the Uber driver was a companion of these two boys. He called the police and told that thieves here are trying to steal the car. During this time, the police came and took the driver as a companion of both the brothers and took them into custody at the point of the gun. However, the driver later told the police the whole incident and was released. At the same time, the police registered a case against both the brothers.
The judge reprimanded both brothers and said this
Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer said in a statement that anyone could be injured or killed as a result of such crimes. He said, the police respond fast during the bank robbery and these police officers were risking their lives to help the people who were endangered. The attorney said, this is irresponsible and negligent. These two boys preferred to increase the number of followers on the Internet than the safety of police officers and innocent Uber drivers.
Social service penalty
Both the 23-year-old brothers were found guilty by the court under a petty offenses rather than felony offense. Both of them have been punished for doing 160 hours of social service. Along with this, orders have also been given to give compensation to these two brothers. Both brothers have 6 million subscribers on YouTube. Apart from this, three crore people follow them at Tiktok. These people have prank many times with their family and friends as well.
