After casting his vote at a polling booth in south Kolkata, Ganguly also claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) state unit chief Sukanta Majumdar may not know everything as he was recently appointed while Dilip Ghosh’s. Asked whether she believed in the allegation that ticket money was taken while selecting BJP candidates, Ganguly said, “I think it may be 100 per cent true in some cases.” Asked if he thinks this has happened in the KMC elections this time, Ganguly said, “Yes.” The Trinamool Congress (TMC) had released an audio clip last month in which a man was purportedly heard negotiating money to nominate BJP candidates in the KMC polls.
