Three college students from the Henderson Inclusion School have been hospitalized for consuming pot-infused edibles, Boston faculty officers mentioned.
Dr. William H. Henderson Head of School Stephanie Sibley mentioned in a letter to households that three middle-school college students “ingested what appeared to be a cannabis-infused chocolate edible,” on Tuesday.
“School staff immediately notified BPS safety services and Boston Police of the incident,” Sibley wrote. “The households of all college students concerned have been instantly notified and the scholars have been seen by the varsity nurse.
“Boston EMS was also notified of the incident, and the students were taken to a local hospital for further medical care. An investigation into this incident is ongoing.”
Boston Police spokesman Sgt. Det. John Boyle mentioned the scholars “ingested some potato chips of THC and a chocolate bar which contained THC.”
The college students’ medical situation was described as non-life-threatening by police, who responded to Henderson’s higher faculty campus, 18 Croftland Ave. in Dorchester, shortly after 10:40 a.m.
According to the police report, 4 college students, three females and a male, have been hospitalized for consuming edibles, a quantity the varsity district disputes. A BPS spokesman, who declined to share their ages, mentioned the fourth pupil could have been handled for a non-related incident.
