Jaipur: Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has made a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s statement that he is Hindu and Hindutva. The Union Minister tweeted, “There are elections and Congress should not do politics on religion and caste, this cannot happen! Those who do not understand Sanatan have now set out to differentiate between Hindu and Hindutvavadi.
Shekhawat further wrote, “Stop creating non-existent divisions among people! Rahul ji, every Hindu who knows the essence of being a Hindu is a Hindutvawadi, and spends his life in search of truth. Also, the nation doesn’t need to know what it is like to be a Hindu from an opportunistic janeudhari.”
Stop creating a non-existent divide!
Rahul ji, every Hindu who knows the tatva of being Hindu is a Hindutvavadi, and they spend their life in search of truth.
Also, the nation doesn’t need to learn what it is to be a Hindu from an opportunist janeudhari.#Rajasthan

At the same time, BJP’s IT cell chief Amit Malviya has also spoken about Rahul. Tweeting a full video of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and today’s video of Rahul Gandhi, he wrote,
Then: …minorities, especially Muslim minorities, are given the right to share equally the fruits of development. They should have the first claim on the resources. Now: Hindu rule has to be brought back… Is the Congress, the new Muslim League, realizing the diminishing usefulness of appeasement?

What did Rahul Gandhi say?
Addressing a gathering organized by the Congress in Jaipur on Sunday, Rahul Gandhi said, “This country is a country of Hindus, not of Hindutvawadis,” said Rahul Gandhi while addressing the ‘Mahagai Hatao Rally’. If there is inflation in the country, there is pain, then this work has been done by Hindutvawadis. Hindutvawadis want power in any condition.”
Describing Hindutva and Hindutva as two different words, Rahul said that just as two souls cannot have one soul, two words cannot have the same meaning as each word has a different meaning.
“I am not a Hindutvawadi, I am a Hindu,” said Rahul. He said that a Hindu is one who is not afraid of anyone, who is embraced by all. He said that the ‘Hindutvawadis have to be brought back from the country’.
