According to the data released by the Health Department on Monday, 31,111 new corona infections have been reported in the state in the last 24 hours. While 24 patients have died. However, the cases of Omicron in the state are not taking the name of stopping. More than a hundred infected have been found in the last 24 hours.
According to the Health Department, after getting 31,111 cases of corona virus infection in the state, the total number of infected people has increased to 72,42,921 and the number of dead has increased to 1,41,832. At the same time, after 29,092 people became corona free, the number of people recovering has increased to 68,29,992.

At present, there are a total of 2,67,334 active patients in the state. 22,64,217 are in home quarantine and 2,994 in institutional quarantine. The recovery rate in the state today is 94.3 and the death rate is 1.95 percent.

The cases of Omicron are increasing continuously in Maharashtra. In the last 24 hours, 122 new patients of Omicron have been found in the state. Of these, 81 reports have been received from the National Institute of Virology and 41 patient reports from the National Chemical Laboratory. Out of the new patients, 40 patients have been found in Pune. While 29 patients have been found in Mira Bhayander, 26 in Nagpur, 14 in Aurangabad, 7 in Amravati, 4 in Mumbai and 1 each in Bhandara, Thane and Pimpri Chinchwad. After getting new patients, the total number of infected has increased to 1,860. So far 959 people of Omicron have been cured in the state.
