Nashik: Maharashtra Environment Minister Aaditya Thackeray said that there are many types of tourist areas in Nashik district. Every effort will be made to make Nashik a tourism district to make the citizens of the country and the state aware of tourism along with religious tourism. Along with this, a meeting will be organized soon regarding adventure, religious, health tourism development. Aditya Thackeray was addressing a review meeting on Nashik district tourism organized in the Boat Club premises.
At present, Urban Development and Public Works Minister Eknath Shinde, Agriculture Minister Dada Bhuse, MP Hemant Godse, District Magistrate Suraj Mandhare, Nashik Municipal Commissioner Kailas Jadhav, Zilla Parishad CEO Leena Bansod, Director of Tourism Mumbai Milind Borikar, Deputy Director of Directorate of Tourism Nashik Madhumati Sardesai, Sub-Collector Nitin Mundavare, Regional Administrator of Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation Jagdish Chavan, Deputy Commissioner of Nashik Municipal Corporation Manoj Ghode-Patil, District Planning Officer Kiran Joshi etc. were present.

District Magistrate Suraj Mandhare gave information about various tours of Nashik district, which includes agriculture tourism, adventure tourism, eco tourism, winery tourism, medical tourism, religious tourism, historical etc. Along with this, information was also given about the Shakti Sthal for the sustainable and complementary development of the district, the potential area for tourism of the district. On this, Aaditya Thackeray said that in the next week, a meeting will be organized regarding tourism development of these three phases, courageous, religious and health.
Pending projects will be completed soon
The pending projects related to tourism will be completed soon. While working on various tourist places of tourism development, the ownership of that tourist place is of water resources, forest department, archeology department, local self-government organization, religious trust. Therefore, for inter-department coordination, a ‘Tourism Development Authority’ will be constituted at the district level under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate. Considering the next 50 years, emphasis will be laid on sustainable development of tourism in Nashik district. Along with this, basic facilities will be made available at eco-tourism, religious tourism, tourist places.
