Pune: The Mumbai High Court has withdrawn the order of imposing stay on the upcoming elections of Pune District Cooperative Milk Producers Association (Katraj Dairy). The High Court had imposed this stay on various petitions filed by Katraj Dairy itself. But because of this petition, it was becoming difficult to declare the election schedule. In view of this, Katraj Dairy had sought permission to withdraw these three petitions unconditionally through an affidavit. The court has accepted this demand. All earlier orders regarding this election have been cancelled. In such a situation, the way has been cleared for the election of Katraj Dairy.
The term of the existing Board of Directors of Katraj Dairy ended in June 2020, but the corona epidemic started in the state from 9 March 2020 and after that the lockdown came from 24 March 2020. After this, the board of directors was extended by the state government for the first time by three months. After the end of this period, preparations for the election were started in October 2021, but ideological differences arose between some milk organizations and Katraj Dairy on the issue of who should be the voter for the election and after differences, the matter reached the High Court. This matter also came to the notice of the State Government. In order to permanently remove this problem, the state government has approved the bill to omit these two words under this law. It is mandatory to get approval from Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, but the Governor has not approved it yet.
