Employees are joining the strike by putting their attendance. Due to the continuation of this strike from December 18, no information, information etc. from the university is reaching other colleges.
On the 9th day of the strike, Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant held discussions with the delegation of the agitating organizations through video conferencing in Mumbai. He appealed to call off the strike. Federation President Ajay Deshmukh, Sandeep Hivarkar of Aided College Employees Organization, Chandrashekhar Shelke of Vidyapeeth Employees Organization, Praveen Gotmare and representatives of various staff organizations of universities across the state participated in this Zoom meeting.
Will take approval in cabinet meeting
Samant told the representatives of the organization that the file of demands would be sent to the Chief Secretary after the recognition of the Principal Secretary. After preparing the budget of 796 posts left from the 7th Pay Commission, the report will be sent from the Education Department to the Finance Department and from there to the Chief Secretary. The way forward will be worked out after discussing both the subjects in the cabinet. He appealed to withdraw the movement. After getting the assurance, the representatives of the organization will take a decision after discussing among themselves in the context of withdrawing the movement.
