Itanagar: The Indian Army has told that, on 6 February, 7 army personnel were martyred due to an avalanche in the high altitude part of Kameng sector of Arunachal Pradesh. Their bodies were pulled from the site of the avalanche. The army said in a statement that the bodies had been recovered.
According to the information, on Sunday, a search and rescue operation was started to find the missing army personnel after an avalanche in the high altitude area in Kameng sector.
At the same time, an official said, “The bodies of all the seven personnel have been recovered from the avalanche site. Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of everyone involved in the campaign, all seven people have been confirmed dead. The 7 soldiers who were martyred belonged to the 19-Jammu and Kashmir Rifles.
