Gondia, Illegal mining of sand has become common. Illegal sand mining from the ghats of the district is not taking its name to stop. On the other hand, sand mafia is carrying out illegal transportation of sand every day, their spirits are so high that they do not hold back from obstructing government work by disputes with government employees.
To curb theft of sand, the Revenue and Forest Department has issued a new order on January 28. According to which now the royalty of sand will be the same. Provision of some new rules in the ordinance issued by the Revenue and Forest Department will give some relief to the common citizens. Due to this, the troubles faced by the administration will also be reduced to some extent.
this will be the new rule
According to the new ordinance, three subjects have been included in it, in which the royalty will be same for sand ghats everywhere in the state. Last year and at present the prices of sand are touching the sky. According to the new rules, citizens will now be able to get sand at a lower price. Similarly, due to this new order, the possibility of curbing illegal sand mining is also being expressed. In the earlier rule, the ghat of 5 thousand brass was Rs 2 crore. Sand was sold at an increasing price, but now the sale of illegal sand will be less.
Earlier environment permission was given by the district administration. Now changing it, after the auction of sand ghat, 25 percent will be given to the person taking sand ghat. After keeping the anonymous amount, it will be mandatory for the sand ghat owner to bring environmental permission. The possession of the sand ghat will be given only after getting this permission. The right of the Gram Panchayat to give sand ghat has now been reduced. Now this authority has been given to the sub-divisional officer.
In the initial refusal of the Gram to give sand ghat, the sub-divisional officer will go to that village and take a meeting and present a positive report to the villagers for sale of sand ghat. What will be the benefit of this new rule? It may be difficult to tell, but permanent settlement will be closed for sand ghats of many villages. It would not be wrong to say so.
