Thane: A fire broke out two days ago in a two-storey building at Parvati Niwas near Malhar Cinema in Naupada. The house of the Takle family was burnt in this fire. Thane Mayor Naresh Mhaske handed over the keys of houses available under the Thane Municipal Corporation’s Rental Housing Scheme to two families who were rendered homeless in the fire. The Takle family was relieved that due to the efforts of the mayor, the homeless family got home in just two days and they met the mayor and expressed their gratitude.
Significantly, on Sunday, a fire broke out in the Parvati Niwas building in Naupada, due to which the houses of Kundan Raghunath Takle and Ravindra Ramesh Takle were completely gutted. On hearing this news, Shiv Sena Deputy Chief Kiran Nakti immediately contacted Mayor Naresh Mhaske in Naupada. The mayor also immediately spoke to the family on the phone and said that we are with you, don’t worry. Simultaneously, the Thane Municipal Corporation’s fire brigade was immediately called and the families trapped in the fire were rescued with the help of ladders.

Similarly, Mayor Naresh Mhaske directed the concerned department to lease the houses to these Takle families in the rental housing scheme of the Municipal Corporation. Under this, Mayor Naresh Mhaske distributed keys to the Takle families on Wednesday. The Takle families who were completely devastated by the fire are relieved to find their homes in two days. The family has thanked Mayor Naresh Mhaske, Thane Municipal Administration, fire brigade officers/staff.
