Lucknow : In Uttar Pradesh, the Excise Department’s strictness on the manufacture and sale of illegal liquor continues. Last night, the Excise Department sent the Deputy Excise Commissioner of Meerut Division in Moradabad Division to investigate the irregularities in the sale of liquor. Where Deputy Excise Commissioner Meerut found irregularities of over rating in the sale of country and foreign liquor.
After the case of over rating came to light in the investigation of Deputy Excise Commissioner Meerut, where shopkeepers were sent to jail under IPC sections, action is also being taken against the officers/employees who were negligent. A report related to this has been sent by the Deputy Excise Commissioner to the Excise Commissioner Senthil Pandian.

Irregularities of over rating found in three liquor shops
Let us inform that as per the instructions of the government, the Deputy Excise Commissioner of Sambhal district inspected the country and foreign liquor shops last night. In which he found irregularities of over rating in a total of three liquor shops. In which irregularities were found in Begum Sarai’s foreign liquor shop, beer shop and country liquor shop. On finding irregularities, Deputy Commissioner Excise Meerut RK Sharma sent a case against liquor sellers and license holders of shops and sent them to jail after registering a case under relevant sections, while the report of departmental irregularities was sent to the Commissioner Headquarters. In this regard, Commissioner Senthil Pandian says that appropriate action will be taken as soon as the report of Deputy Excise Commissioner Meerut is received. According to the intention of the government, the Excise Department is strict about irregularities in the sale of liquor and manufacture of illicit liquor and no one involved in this will be spared.
