Pimpri : Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Commissioner Rajesh Patil assured the Congress delegation that the closed ramp on the two-storey flying bridge at Nashik Phata would be started in the next fortnight. A delegation led by Pimpri-Chinchwad City Congress President Dr. Kailash Kadam met Commissioner Patil on this issue.
To facilitate the traffic at Nashik Phata Chowk and to facilitate the movement of citizens from Nashik Road to Pimple Gurav, Pimple Saudagar, Wakad – Hinjewadi, a two storey flyover has been constructed at Nashik Phata Chowk. Although it has been many years since this bridge was completed, but the ramp from Pimple Gurav to Pune has been closed for the last four years, causing inconvenience to the citizens. There has been a demand to start this since many days.

Dr. Kailash Kadam had written a letter to the Municipal Corporation Rajesh Patil about this. After this, the commissioner along with the Congress delegation held a meeting with the officials of the Transport Department, BRTS Department and Metro Department. In this meeting, Dr. Kadam complained about the traffic at this chowk. On this occasion, Commissioner Rajesh Patil said that the work of Metro and Metro station at Nashik Phata Chowk has been started from May 2017. There is a plan to start metro service from Vallabh Nagar Metro Station to Fugewadi Metro Station on 6th March. Commissioner Rajesh Patil assured that it would be possible to start the ramp at this chowk in the next fortnight.
