But even after being a temporary village servant, a young man doing ‘side business’ of chain snatching on a holiday was caught by the Gangapur Police with the help of citizens. This Vllage Servant of well-educated family has confessed to snatching gold ornaments from the necks of 5 women, whose name is Vipul Ramesh Patil (28). There have been several incidents of chain snatching especially in the Gangapur campus in a few days.
On this background, the police checked the CCTV footage of the incident site. The suspect and his bike were seen in this. Based on this, the Gangapur police arrested the suspected accused. During the Corona period, Gangapur Police had appointed a special police officer. Now this post has been canceled, but common citizens have contact with the police. Therefore, Gangapur Police showed the video footage received to the former Special Police Officer, after which a Special Police Officer was seen on the Pleasure Scooter, the vehicle of the suspected accused, in Savarkar Nagar premises on 15 December. After getting information about this, Senior Police Inspector of Gangapur Police Station Riyaz Sheikh informed Suryavanshi, Assistant Police Inspector of Crime Search Pathak. He captured Patil from the Akashvani Tower complex with the help of his associate police sub-inspector Sanjay Bhise, Havaldar Bole, Police Naik Mahale, Mohite, Police Amaldar Jadhav, Jagtap, Bhoye. After investigating Patil, Gangapur police gave 11 tolas of gold ornaments to the police, confessing to having committed 5 incidents in Gangapur premises.

Chain snatcher from temporary village servant
Suspected Patil working in Chandvad tehsil as a temporary village servant on compassionate element, was earlier working as a driver in Gangapur campus.
