Taylor Swift’s music video for “Anti-Hero” seems to be a bit totally different than when it dropped final Friday following web backlash.
The video, written and directed by the Grammy winner, 32, beforehand featured a scene wherein she steps on a scale studying, “Fat.” Though it’s consider to be a nod to the consuming problems Swift has mentioned battling, some slammed the sequence as fatphobic.
Now, when Swift and her alter-ego encounter the dimensions simply after the two-minute mark, the viewer not sees what it says.
“Hi the problem is actually the tired old ‘fat = nightmare’ trope. it’s exhausting always being made to feel like an anti-hero,” Emily Ladau tweeted earlier than the edit was made.
“I can’t believe taylor swift confidently and without hesitation put a whole a– music video out there where she calls herself fat and aligns it with being an anti hero,” tweeted one other consumer.
Whoopi Goldberg mentioned on “The View” earlier this week, “The video reflects what she sees, not what you see her seeing.”
Swift beforehand hailed “Anti-Hero” as “one of my favorite songs,” noting it’s the primary time she’s “delved this far into my insecurities.”
