- CM Thackeray gave instructions to present the proposal in the cabinet meeting
Mumbai. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray directed the Forest Department to prepare an integrated tourism model to make Chandrapur’s Tadoba Tiger Reserve the world class best spot for tiger watching. The Chief Minister said that necessary funds for this would be made available in a phased manner.
On Thursday, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister to increase tourism in Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve. State Help and Rehabilitation Minister Vijay Wadettiwar and State Forest Minister Dattatray Bharane were present in this. The Chief Minister said that while protecting the environment, consideration should be given to starting innovative ventures for tourism development. Complete the construction project of Tiger Safari and Wildlife Rescue Center near Chandrapur city in a phased manner.
Personal Solar Fencing
The Chief Minister has directed to present a proposal in the state cabinet meeting to distribute solar fencing to the farmers of the buffer area. Solar fencing will help reduce human-wildlife conflict and avoid crop damage.
Fund will be available for the construction of Tadoba Bhawan
The construction work of Tadoba Bhawan has been approved to bring 3 offices located near Tadoba Tiger Reserve under one roof. 18 crores will be spent on the construction of this building. The Chief Minister has given instructions to give a fund of Rs 3 crore in this financial year, while the provision of the rest of the fund will be done in the next month’s budget.
In the meeting, discussions were held for the rehabilitation of Ratlodhi and Kolsa villages of Tadoba Tiger Reserve area. A fund of Rs 64 crore is required for this. It was told in the meeting that after the expansion of Tadoba Tiger Reserve area, a proposal for rehabilitation of Karwa village would be sent to the Central Government. 70 crores will be needed for this.
