The Railway Ministry on Wednesday canceled the RRB-NTPC and Level-2 examinations amid violent protests by students and candidates. Students are alleging huge irregularities in Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) examinations. Furious protesters torched a bogie of Bhabua-Patna Intercity Express on Wednesday morning.
So far 10 updates related to the students’ movement-
1. The protesting students gathered at Gaya Junction in Bihar in the morning and raised slogans and then later set fire to the Bhabua-Patna Intercity Express. However, no one was injured in this accident.
2. Protests were also held in Patna, Nawada, Muzaffarpur, Buxar and Bhojpur districts of Bihar.
3. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on Wednesday appealed to job aspirants not to cause damage to public property by railways. He said, “I would like to request my student friends that Railways is your property, you should take care of your property. We will look into all your complaints and points that have emerged so far. Any student will take the law in hand. Don’t take it.”

4. Earlier on Tuesday, students appearing for the RRB-NTPC 2021 examination staged a protest at Bihar Sharif railway station, alleging irregularities in the results. Students also blocked Patna’s Rajendra Nagar terminal, disturbing the Kolkata-New Delhi main line.
5. Several trains were canceled or run on alternate routes on Tuesday due to the protests.
6. Meanwhile, in a statement issued on Wednesday, the Railway Ministry also warned that these protests would be viewed as “illegal activity” and that the candidates participating in it could be ‘banned for life’ from railway jobs. Is.
7. Railways said that such reports that one candidate is being recruited for multiple posts are false. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, “We cannot legally bar graduates from applying for posts with 10+2 qualifications.”

8. He said that the shortlisting of candidates for each level has been done on the basis of different choices and educational qualification of the candidates.
9. “For the second stage computer-based test of each level, candidates have been called 20 times the notified community-wise vacancies against each RRB,” the minister said.
10. Railways had said that it is looking to fill 35,281 posts. Of these, 24,281 posts in 13 categories were for graduates and 11,000 posts in six categories were for non-graduates.
