Nagpur. One and a half months have passed since the stationery supply scam was exposed in the Metropolitan Municipality, but doubts are being raised about no action being taken against the officials involved in this matter. Even in the auditorium, no action was taken against such officials. The Municipal Employees Union has demanded that all senior officers and contractors involved in the scam should be subjected to narco test. The union has also demanded the suspension of Additional Commissioner Ram Joshi.
So far, four junior employees have been suspended in the case. However, no action is taken without the signature of the head of the department and his senior officers. So far no action has been taken against any head of the department. This scam is related to health, library, birth and death and general administration. But the charge of focusing attention only on the health department has been leveled by the union’s central president, Jammu Anand.
suspicion of destruction of evidence
When the employees of the Health Department were doing two hands with Corona, at that time the officers sitting in the room were doing scams. Jammu Anand said that all department heads should be removed from their posts until the entire matter is investigated. He also expressed doubts that the evidence would be destroyed within one and a half months while the officer was in office. In the auditorium also only a committee was formed to discuss the matter. Why was the complaint not lodged with the police by passing an inquiry resolution against the senior officers. – Officers got iPad, TV
It is also being suspected that TVs, iPads and other expensive equipment have been found from a contractor supplying stationery. As soon as the scam was exposed, all the goods were returned immediately. After that an officer deposited the amount in the treasury of the Municipal Corporation on the pretext of taking a check of Rs 67 lakh from the supplier. Instead, he questioned why the officer had not reported the scam to the police.
Remove Jadhav from scam committee
Congress councilor Kamlesh Chaudhary has submitted a letter to the mayor and commissioner demanding the removal of Sandeep Jadhav from the supply scam investigation committee. This scam is believed to have happened in 2016-17. Also a compromise was reached. The Chairman of the Standing Committee at that time was Sandeep Jadhav. Chaudhary also alleged that he was included in the inquiry committee to save him. To make the investigation fair and transparent, there has been a demand to remove Jadhav and send a report to the state government.
