- No one knows how many days the strike will last
Nagpur. Not only did the bus staff suffer the loss of the longest-running ST strike till now, but many small traders around the bus stand lost their jobs. Their employment depended on the passengers coming to the ST bus stand. He used to run his family by selling food and drink, but now the silence in the bus stand premises is breaking his hopes. They want this strike to end and then achche din come. However, like these small traders, ST employees also want this strike to end soon. But when the strike will end due to lack of agreement with the government. No one has any answer for this.
At present, ST employees are on strike with full enthusiasm. They hope that the government will give them their due. He will be heard. Here the officials of the government are also claiming that the decisions that have been taken so far have been taken keeping in mind the good future of the employees. They are sad that the employees are not able to understand their intention. More than 50 days have passed since this ongoing cold war between the two. The matter is stuck at one place.
Mumbai support staff
Every day a group of 40 to 50 people from the city is going to the Azad Maidan in Mumbai to support the strike. The employees say that so far they have not taken any kind of political help in this campaign. Along with food, other expenses are being borne by the employees on their own. Everyone is compensating for the expenses by donating. At the same time, the officials of the government say that at present the strike is being forcibly prolonged. The government at its level has taken good decisions in the interest of the employees, which they should think about.
People are troubled by illegal recovery
ST buses are the main mode of transport in rural areas, which are closed due to the strike of the workers. The private vehicles being driven in their place are charging double the fare. The common man has also become upset while making complaints about recovery, but they are not being heard anywhere. In the biggest problem are those small shopkeepers of the village countryside, whose shop’s goods used to reach the village only through these ST buses. Now they have to have a separate vehicle for their belongings. In which they have to pay more than before.
