A special CBI court in Delhi on Saturday rejected the anticipatory bail plea of former NSE Managing Director and CEO Chitra Ramakrishna in the NSE co-location scam case.
Chitra Ramakrishna was the MD and CEO of NSE from April 2013 to December 2016. Significantly, Chitra is accused of operating the National Stock Exchange at the behest of Himalayan Yogi and leaking sensitive information.
Let us inform that on Friday, the CBI had questioned two NSE officials in connection with the NSE co-location scam. This investigation is being done in the case of NSE NSE co-location scam. Please tell that Anand Subramanian, former GOO of NSE, is in the custody of CBI. According to information received by CNBC TV18 quoting CBI sources, the CBI is proactively probing the allegation that why the SEBI officials did not take action against the culprits deliberately.

According to information received from the sources, it has come out from the CBI investigation that there has been a delay in sharing the audit document and other emails on behalf of SEBI to the CBI in this case. This case was audited in 2018 while the FIR was also done in 2018 itself, but SEBI gave the copy of the report related to the case and the email between the main accused to the CBI in 2019.
It is worth mentioning that last week the CBI had arrested Anand Subramanian, former GOO of NSE. He was made GOO of NSE by Chitra Ramakrishnan without the necessary qualifications and experience. It is alleged that Chitra Ramakrishnan did this on the instructions of an alleged Himalayan yogi from whom she used to take instructions in her work and also gave her confidential information related to NSE.
According to CBI sources, it later emerged that Anand Subramanian was the so-called yogi and was responsible for directing Chitra Ramakrishnan in the affairs of NSE as well as promoting Anand Subramaniam.
The CBI recently arrested Anand Subramanian from Chennai and brought him to Delhi last week. The CBI has his custody till March 6.
