Nagpur. Even though instructions are being given to the Municipal Corporation by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for many years to break the flyover in front of the railway station, but due to technical complications, the process of breaking the flyover has not been completed so far. Due to which the issue of six lane road being built here is also stuck. For the construction of the new road, the shopkeepers located under the bridge have a demand for funds as per the Municipal Act. Gadkari gave instructions to the Municipal Commissioner to resolve the issue by making an agreement to provide funds to the shopkeepers who want funds and to provide space to other shopkeepers. On Friday, a meeting of officials was held at Gadkari’s residence regarding many issues of city development. MLA Praveen Datke, Mohan Mate, Vikas Kumbhare, former Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari, Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan.B, District Magistrate R. Vimala etc. were present.
15 days ultimatum to commissioner
It is noteworthy that in view of the always traffic jam situation in front of the railway station, this flyover was constructed for 30 years in the year 2010. Now due to the new plan, this bridge has to be demolished within 12 years only. Approval was also given to the plan to build a 6-lane road here through Mahametro. After which approval was also given in the meeting of the Municipality to break it. But even after a long time, it has not been implemented till now. It is said that there are 150 shops under the bridge. Out of which 72 shopkeepers have demanded shop instead of shop. While 78 people have demanded money. In view of this, Gadkari has now directed the commissioner to take a decision within 15 days.
Wednesday market land owner’s documents
A strange disclosure was made by the Municipal Corporation in front of Union Minister Gadkari. It was told by the officials that the documents of this land owner are required before starting the project.
Municipality does not have its documents (Akhiv Patrika). Due to which the matter is stuck. Even after having such a problem, the City Survey Department is not providing the final magazine to the Municipal Corporation at the earliest.
Government officials are creating hurdles in government work. Especially in the meeting, MLA Datke said that even before this, work orders were issued to start the work of shopping complex on Wednesday. During that time there was no demand for Akhiv magazine.
On which the officials believed that according to the new DCR rules, there has been a change in the scope of the land. Thereby the need for a magazine with additional ground. Due to the matter being raised in front of the District Magistrate, he instructed the officers to take the matter seriously.
