Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has taken a big decision on Thursday. The state cabinet has decided to allow the sale of wine in grocery stores and supermarkets in Maharashtra. This decision was taken in a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday. After which BJP has opposed the decision, on which senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has responded by taking a jibe at the BJP.
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has said on the government’s decision to allow the sale of liquor in supermarkets and walk-in stores, that wine is not liquor. If the sale of wine increases, then the farmers will get the benefit. We have done this to double the income of the farmers. BJP only opposes but does nothing for farmers.

Earlier on Thursday, while talking about the government’s decision, Cabinet Minister Nawab Malik had said that the proposal was already under consideration. Malik said that now even small shops of 1000 square feet will be allowed to sell wine. The income of a large number of farmers in Maharashtra depends on wine made from fruit products. In such a situation, this decision will increase the income of the farmers.

In this matter, former Maharashtra Chief Minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis warned on Thursday that such a move will not be tolerated. In the last two years, the state government has not helped any farmer, poor, destitute. The priority of the government is only and only alcohol. The government should at least help the poor a little. Liquor became cheaper than petrol and diesel! Permission to sell liquor after the ban is lifted! Decision to issue new liquor licenses in Maharashtra! And now live wine from supermarkets, grocery stores! Maharashtra will not tolerate all this.
