Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met 16 medical students of Gorakhpur and their parents who returned from Ukraine and greeted them on their safe return. While interacting with the students, CM Yogi said that the return of children from war-torn Ukraine expresses the sensitivity of the Modi government. Only India got this facility to bring citizens and students from Ukraine safely, the government of the rest of the countries, especially African countries, did not take any cognizance and left its citizens trapped there in the trust of God, while Prime Minister Modi held a meeting as soon as the war started. And started Operation Ganga to make arrangements to bring back the civilians trapped in Ukraine. For this, four central ministers were sent and the central and state government deployed nodal officers. The UP government has deployed nodal officers in Delhi. Stayed in UP Bhawan and made arrangements to take the children safely to their homes. He said that the Central and State Governments are not only working to rescue the students trapped in Ukraine, but are also considering to advance their careers. The government is in touch with the Indian Council of Medical Research regarding this.
The Chief Minister was interacting with the children and their parents at the Tilak Hall of Gorakhnath temple on Wednesday. He said that 2,290 students from Uttar Pradesh live in Ukraine. Of these, 2,078 have returned. Of the 74 children from Gorakhpur alone, 70 have returned. Arrangements are also being made to bring the remaining four children. Two of these children are in the Embassy of India at Poland Airport. Two children have reached Poltava from Ukraine. Soon he too will reach safely. The Chief Minister said that we express our heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Modi ji for the safe return of the children from the war-torn region as citizens of other countries could not get this facility. Especially the governments of the African country did not take any cognizance and left the trapped people in God’s trust, but Prime Minister Modi held a meeting as soon as the war started and the central and state government through nodal officers gathered information about the citizens trapped in Ukraine.

The Chief Minister said that the success in bringing back Indians from the war zone to their country has been successful because of the international policy of the Central Government.
