India has decided to temporarily shift its embassy from Ukraine to Poland. The decision was taken in view of the deteriorating security situation in war-torn Ukraine. India has decided to move its embassy to Poland in the wake of intensifying Russian attacks in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv and other major cities in recent days.
In a statement on Sunday, the Ministry of External Affairs said that in view of the rapidly deteriorating situation in the country, including attacks in the western parts of Ukraine, it has been decided to temporarily relocate the Indian Embassy in Ukraine to Poland. The ministry said that the situation will be reviewed again according to the developments in the times to come.
35 killed in Russian attack
Russian forces attacked a military training base in western Ukraine on Sunday morning, pushing Russia’s offensive close to Ukraine’s border with Poland. The governor of Ukraine’s Lviv region says 35 people have been killed and 134 wounded in a Russian airstrike on a military range.
The regional administration said eight rockets were fired at the Yaroviv military range, located 30 kilometers northwest of Lviv, without giving any details about possible casualties. This border is 35 km from Ukraine’s border with Poland.

All government buildings and houses in Ukraine have been destroyed by the bombing by Russia. The Kyiv Independent quoted Mayor Ruslan Martsinkiv as saying that Russian forces attacked the Ivano-Frankivsk airbase on 13 March. He has urged those living close to the airbase to shift elsewhere.
Russia’s attacks on Ukraine continue for the 18th day
According to the Kyiv Independent, Russian soldiers opened fire on women and children rescuing through the Green Corridor in Kyiv, killing seven people, including a child. Russia’s attacks on Ukraine continue even on the 18th day of the war. The Kyiv Independent claimed that several explosions were heard in Kyiv and Kherson.

According to Reuters, the work of evacuating people trapped in Ukraine is going on amid the attack from Russia. Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vereshchuk has claimed that Ukraine evacuated 13,000 civilians from the Human Corridor on March 12, double the number the day before. In this context, on March 11, about 7,500 people were taken out of the Human Corridor.
