Russia Ukraine News: The Indian Embassy in Kyiv on Sunday asked all Indian nationals living in Ukraine to fill up online forms on an ‘urgent basis’. As the situation in Ukraine continues to worsen, the Embassy of India said in a new advisory, “All Indian nationals who are still residing in Ukraine are requested to fill in the details in the attached Google Form on an urgent basis.”
The official Twitter account of the embassy posted a Google form asking for basic details like name, passport number and current location.

The embassy states that all students residing in their own accommodations (other than those arranged by the embassy) are requested to arrive at Hungaria City Center, Rakozy UT 90, Budapest between 10 am and 12 noon.
India has launched “Operation Ganga” to evacuate its citizens and has sent four Union ministers as special envoys to the Prime Minister to coordinate the operation in neighboring countries of Ukraine.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that over 19,000 Indian citizens have been evacuated from war-torn Ukraine as part of Operation Ganga. He also said that the government is coordinating with the countries for the safe return of Indians stranded in the country.

The Civil Aviation Ministry said that 2,135 Indians have been brought back to the country today by 11 special flights from neighboring countries of Ukraine under Operation Ganga. With this, more than 15,900 Indians have been brought back since the start of special flights on February 22, 2022.
India on Saturday said its main focus is now on evacuating around 700 Indian students stranded in Sumy in eastern Ukraine, which has seen shelling and air strikes.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Arindam Bagchi told the media that we hope that in the next few hours all our citizens will be evacuated from Kharkiv and Pisochin. “Our main focus now is on evacuating Indian students from Sumi. We are looking at several options for their evacuation,” he said.
Bagchi also reiterated India’s call for a ceasefire at the local level from Russia and Ukraine so that Indians can be evacuated from war-torn areas. “Evacuation of Indians from Sumi is challenging as there is continuing shelling and violence and lack of means of transport,” Bagchi said. Without giving any details, he said that India is looking at various other options to evacuate the students.
