NEW YORK (AP) — Rupert Murdoch, the 92-year-old media magnate who created Fox News, is stepping down as chief of each Fox’s mother or father firm and his News Corp. media holdings.
Fox mentioned Thursday that Murdoch would turn out to be chairman emeritus of each firms. His son, Lachlan, will turn out to be News Corp. chairman and proceed as chief government officer of Fox Corp.
Lachlan Murdoch mentioned that “we are grateful that he will serve as chairman emeritus and know he will continue to provide valued counsel to both companies.”
