India’s Test team captain and former white ball cricket team captain Virat Kohli’s childhood cricket coach Rajkumar Sharma has expressed his displeasure over the behavior of his disciple.
Virat’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma has said that there has been a lack of transparency in the behavior of the BCCI and the team selectors towards Virat Kohli. Also, his process of changing the captaincy is in the dock. Two days ago, a five-member selection committee headed by Chetan Sharma had announced the replacement of Virat Kohli and the replacement of Rohit Sharma as the captain of the ODI team. Significantly, there is an uproar in the world of news regarding this decision of BCCI.
In his exclusive conversation with a news agency regarding this decision of BCCI, Rajkumar Sharma said, “I have not spoken to Kohli. For some reason his phone is switched off. But, as far as my opinion is concerned, Virat especially left the captaincy of the T team. In such a situation, the selectors should have asked him directly, either to give up the captaincy of both formats of white ball cricket (ODI T20 cricket), or not to do so.

Rajkumar Sharma expressed surprise over BCCI President Sourav Ganguly’s clarification that Virat Kohli was advised not to step down as the captain of the T team.
He said, “I read the recent statement of Sourav Ganguly (BCCI President) that Virat was asked not to step down as the captain of the T20 team. I am not aware of any such thing. This statement is shocking to me. To be honest, different statements are going on about Virat.
Alleging lack of transparency in the decision-making process, skipper Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma said the manner in which this incident has happened is very unfortunate and sad. He said that the selection committee is not giving any reason behind its decision. We don’t know what the team management, BCCI or the team selectors want. There is a complete lack of clarity and transparency here.
