Mumbai: Political rhetoric has once again intensified in the state regarding the statement of Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole. The matter has now reached Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi. Maharashtra BJP leader Chandrashekhar Bawankhule has written a letter to Sonia Gandhi, demanding action against Nana Patole for his remarks against PM Modi and his statement on Mahatma Gandhi.
In fact, on Sunday, Nana Patole had said that the ideology of Mahatma Gandhi is a guide for the country and the country will not follow the path of Hindutva but on the basis of the teachings of the ‘Father of the Nation’. Addressing Congress workers at the party office in central Mumbai after paying tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his death anniversary, Patole said Gandhian ideology has deep roots in the country and no one can destroy them.
