Baliya: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Monday launched a total of 96 projects (costing Rs 125.74 crore) for the all-round development of Sikanderpur assembly constituency at Chetan Kishore Maidan, Sikanderpur in district Ballia. ) inaugurated and laid the foundation stone. The Deputy Chief Minister inaugurated 48 roads costing Rs 53.63 crore and laid the foundation stone for 42 roads costing Rs 64.41 crore, besides laying the foundation stone of 6 bridges costing Rs 7.70 crore. Speaking on the occasion, he said that through these projects the local residents would get new opportunities for employment and development.
In his address, Keshav Prasad Maurya said that the spring of development has come in the entire state during the tenure of the present government. Keshav Prasad Maurya said that a network of roads is being laid in the state. While a large number of rural roads have been constructed in the state, national highways are also being constructed. Roads have been constructed all over the state on priority basis in view of easy access of people to their destination and marketing services. He said that every effort has been made by the government to connect the roads with social concerns and in this series roads have been constructed under schemes like Dr. APJ Kalam Gaurav Path, Major Dhyan Chand Vijaypath and Jai Hind Veer Path.
