Gondia, Farmers have got the opportunity to clear the outstanding agricultural pump electricity bill from the State Government’s Agriculture Pump Electricity Connection Policy-2020. 15 thousand 96 crore 66 lakh rupees have been waived by the department as per the outstanding plan and for the convenience of delay size and interest.
Now 44 lakh 50 thousand farmers of the state will get a waiver of about Rs 15,353 crore 88 lakh on payment of 50 percent amount in the current electricity bill and the rectified dues till March 2022. Also the outstanding electricity bill will be blank.
Getting 66 percent discount
Out of the Krishi Pump Electricity Connection Policy, a total rebate of 66 percent is being given for the arrears of the agricultural pump electricity bill. 44 lakh 50 thousand 828 farmers of the state had principal arrears of Rs 45,804 crore till September 2020. In this, a rebate of about 66 percent is being given for the arrears of agricultural pump electricity bills from the Mahavitaran Krishi Pump Connection Policy.
As of September 2020, 44 lakh 50 thousand 828 farmers of the state had an outstanding of Rs 45,804 crore. In this 10,420 crore 65 lakh as mentioned by Mahavitaran and Rs 4,676 crore 1 lakh out of late size and interest, such a total exemption of Rs 15,096 crore 66 lakh was given.
Adjustment of an amount of 266 crores
An amount of Rs 266 crore 67 lakh has been adjusted in the correction of electricity bills. If the outstanding farmers pay the current electricity bill and 50 percent dues by March 2022, then the remaining 50 percent or Rs 15,353.88 crore will be waived off. In Nagpur Regional Department, Rs 2,504 crore 73 lakh of 9 lakh 2 thousand 282 farmers were waived.
Out of the revised dues of Rs 4,593 crore 59 lakh, 50 percent amount and if the current electricity bill is paid, then the balance amount of Rs 2,296 crore 80 lakh will be waived off.
16.42 lakh farmers took benefit
So far 16 lakh 41 thousand 970 farmers have registered their participation in the scheme in the state. He has paid Rs 945.09 crore in current electricity bill and Rs 769.56 crore in revised arrears. Under the scheme, a total of Rs 4,992.19 crore has been waived for all these farmers for waiver of interest and penalty, waiver of drafting as well as adjustment of electricity bill and 50 percent arrears.
By taking advantage of the scheme, 3 lakh 50 thousand 338 farmers of the state have paid their electricity bills. These farmers had a revised dues of Rs 1,020.65 crore. He paid 50 percent dues of Rs 184.92 crore and Rs 510.42 crore of existing electricity bills and paid electricity bills.
