Nashik Road: Due to privatization, there are constant changes in the railways at present. In order to provide good facilities to the passengers, the Railways has made rules to collect various taxes. The Railway Department has decided to collect station development charges from the passengers, for which the passengers will have to bear the damages. After reaching the train location, additional fee will have to be paid in the form of ticket. Different charges will be applicable for different class of passengers.
Suburban and season tickets have been kept out of this. Passengers will be charged in the name of convenience and development charges. This recovery will be done at the places earmarked for redevelopment of railway station. This fee will be charged from every passenger traveling by rail. According to the guidance information issued by the Ministry of Railways, an additional fee of Rs 10 to 50 will have to be paid for sitting in the train from the station. This fee will be User Fee 3 of this category. According to this, an additional fee of Rs 50 for air-conditioned class, Rs 25 for sleeper class, Rs 10 for unreserved class will have to be paid. This recovery will be through ticket fee.
For this, the Railway Board has given permission to the plan. After the implementation of this scheme, the platform ticket will also be costlier by Rs 10. On which GST will have to be paid. This recovery will start after the development of rail station is completed. There is no clarity about when this plan will be implemented, but according to railway officials, revenue will be ensured after the implementation of SDF. After this decision of the Central Government, traveler organizations have started its practice.
