New Delhi: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Friday took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the backdrop of a “serious lapse” in the security of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Punjab, asking him whether the Prime Minister Will talk sometime on the ‘big lapse in national security’ on the borders of the country.
He tweeted with the hashtags ‘Pangong So’ and ‘China’, “What is happening on our borders is a big lapse in national security. Will the Prime Minister ever talk about this?” Rahul Gandhi made this remark at a time when the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress are going through a tussle these days over the issue of ‘serious lapse’ in the security of Prime Minister Modi in Punjab.

It is noteworthy that on Wednesday, there was an incident of “serious lapse” in the security of Prime Minister Modi, who was visiting the poll-bound state of Punjab, when some protesters in Ferozepur blocked a road through which they were to pass. Because of this, the Prime Minister was stuck on a flyover for about 20 minutes. After the incident, the Prime Minister returned to Delhi. He neither attended any program in Punjab nor could he address his first rally in the state after two years. Assembly elections are to be held in Punjab soon. (agency)
