After the suggestions given by the officials for the conservation, promotion of cranes, Justice Sunil Shukre and Justice Anil Pansare issued orders to prepare a proposal within 3 months towards radio tagging of these birds. During the hearing, Gondia District Magistrate Naina Gunde said that a proposal is being prepared for the promotion and protection of cranes.

During the hearing, many problems related to the safety of stork birds were highlighted by the officials. Due to many issues related to different departments, the court formed the Saras Promotion Committee to solve the problem of promotion. These committees will be formed in Bhandara, Gondia and Chandrapur districts where all complaints related to crane birds will be redressed.
The committee will consist of the President to the District Magistrate of the district concerned, Member Secretary to the Zilla Parishad CEO, PCCF from the district, Executive Engineer of the Irrigation Department, District Superintendent of Agriculture Department and a member of the service organization. The committee can take cooperation from any department while taking necessary measures for the promotion and protection of crane birds. Along with this, by calling the officers of the concerned department, they will be able to take their help.

The court made it clear in the order that not only will the proposal be prepared regarding the tanging of stork birds, but it will also have to be approved by the state government in 3 months. Apart from this, wherever stork birds are found, they should be included in the biodiversity register.
If not included, it should be followed with immediate effect. According to the standards laid down in the Biological Diversity Act 2002, the stork bird is eligible to be included in it. The court also ordered to survey these birds in Gondia, Bhandara and Chandrapur districts and submit the report before the court within two months.
