Nagpur. Every youth dreams of driving a racing car, but Swapnil fulfilled his dream on his own. It was not possible for him to buy a racing car but passion was on his head. He himself started the work of making racing cars for himself from scrap and parts. Many times there was failure too but he was not ready to back down. After all, he himself prepared the car running at high speed and on Republic Day took his car and got down on the way. Where people passed by kept looking at his car. Swapnil Chopkar’s father, who lives in Parvatinagar of Rameshwari, supplies food items to Kashinath Bakery. Mother is a physiotherapist.
Skills learned by working in the garage
Since childhood, Swapnil was fond of driving a racing car. He could not buy the car himself. That’s why he decided to make his own car. Currently, he is pursuing M.Com, but along with his college studies, he started a part-time job in a car garage. While working in the garage, he inquired about the engine and other equipment of the car. He knew very well which parts to fit where in the chassis. After mastering the work, he decided to build his own car and started collecting parts from the junk. He used the engine, steering and discs of the Maruti 800 to create the racing car. According to the racing car, he prepared the chassis by welding. Used parts of different four wheelers.
learn from failure
By 26 January 2021, he had parked a car but could not succeed on the roads but he did not lose his courage. Learning from his failure, tried again. After working on his car for 1 year, he agreed to run his car on the roads again on this Republic Day. Completed 26 km journey through different routes. Swapnil spent Rs 1.25 lakh to make this car made from junk. His car is giving mileage of 16 to 17 kmpl. At present, his car running in 2 gear speed is running at a speed of 90 kmph. Swapnil claims that the car can run at a speed of 140 kmph. Soon he will apply for permit and permission in the RTO office.
